Got to shoot the Real Madrid vs Santos Laguna game here in Vegas last night which was pretty cool, and Tears for Fears the night before too... Time to head to bed though for assignments starting at 8am
Peter: I liked those young green heron (?) shots with the 800L; great detail and tonality.

Edd,
These look great! May I ask what adapter you're using on the FD 300? Thanks...

Cam: Thank you...I use a product now made by Ed Mika on all the long FD L glass. It is all of .5mm thick, with no optics, but has a focus-confirm chip. I reset the internal focusing for each lens to get them out to infinity, and the rest is what you see. Ed (with one "d") is a great guy, FM'er, and is from Ontario to boot! Also, the dock shot is wonderful and timeless...
My wife has two days off from medical school, so we may end up doing some forest hikes in the western part of the state; great excuse for "gears"

Wow,
Loving the hot-air ballons, planes, cars; great stuff folks!
15Bit: Your "model" looks wonderful among the flowers (weeds ;-)). My wife says two thumbs up for you!
desutoroido: Death Valley is such a great place, wonderous light/shadows as you have shown. My first visit there was in the backseat of an F4-E, 650 feet above a group of Airstream trailers (campers). We woke them up at 05:30, at just under 600 MPH so the windows would not crack... . I've made many more "civil" visits since...
A few from a little while ago with the 7D (just got the firmware update) and FD 400 f2.8L (M.F.)

Thanks Jess/Edd, and Edd say thanks to your wife also.
Junior was collecting dandelions, flowers and lord knows what else whilst i was trying to do clever photographic things with a dandelion head under a tree, just catching a ray of sun (the shot from earlier). I suspect there were probably better shots to be had behind me than in front, and she eventually pushed me into checking that by picking the dandelion i was trying to photograph...
