Chris, Have any EXIF on the images? I'd be interested to learn the tech details of the series. Stuff like did you use fill flash and with what exposure comp, which lenses took which images, were the images shot in RAW and how were they were processed, etc.? Essentially, I'm looking for any info to help make and process better bear images. Looks like you nailed exposure very well, getting the fur details as well as eye detail, etc. I'm pretty secure in my understanding of tech aspects of photgraphy but I wonder if you picked up any helpful tricks during your shoot.

copy and save the pic, pull it into PS and you can check out the exif. Some times I use spot metering, sometimes I use evaulative and just compensate to what my gut tells me. I alaways shoot raw, and use Fred's web presenter for web shots. email me directly if you have more questions,
