All I can say is WoWza! #2, 4 and 7 really send me. Boy, a guy disappears into Yellowstone for a week and poof! there are more great grizzly shots. Nicely done. Are you at the McNeil River here?
All I can do is gaze at #4. Extraordinary captures Chris, just stunning. One of Thomas Mangelson's best sellers looks alot like #4.... Fabulous work.
HOLY SMOKES BATMAN!! Just saw the last image - it is almost exactly like Mangelson's. WOW, all over again. Hang a bunch on the wall and then go SELL,SELL,SELL!!!

Chris,
I cannot believe it, all the tasty salmon without to paying for.
Where in Alaska do you get such very, very nice pictures?
Was that a guided tour?
How amazing to get to see and shoot those bears. All Nation Geographic material. 2 & 4 are my favorites. 3 is close behind i like the family shot look like 2 cubs and a mother, i could be wrong.
What kind of lense did you use and how far away were you?
I really appreciate all the nice comments! Its why this is the best photo site on the net! Everyone is civil to each other and gives good constructive critiques! I have not posted on photosig in a long time, and did a few days ago. I posted pic #4 and was accussed of PS manipulation! Talk about piss you off, after alot of hard work! Thanks to all that have commented,
Chris
PS I used a 600f4 and a 300 2.8...... I used the 300 more than the 600,

Really nice shots, Chris. I was in Alaska last month (early June) but I did not get enough wild life pictures, especially of bears. Did you take those shots at Katmai? We did not go there since it was too early for the salmon spawning season. Please share with us the location and equipment you used.
look back at page 2 of this thread and i listed all i carried!
yes, it was katmai........

Simply fantastic, these pix are awesome. I bet you'll have a good many keepers. I've always wanted to go to Alaska and to do what you did. With these pix you make it more tempting. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.
I've been lurking on this site for many months now without ever having signed up. These grizzly photos are so amazing I had to sign up so I could comment on them!
Absolutely terrific!!! I'm actually speechless on the quality of these.
Were these taken at Brooks Falls or McNeil River?
I was at Brooks Falls last September for 5 days. It was so much fun my wife & I decided to go again this September (for 7 nights / 8 days this time). I doubt I will be getting photos like this though! Again, amazing photos!
Imagine being one of those fish, and your swimming all happy-go-lucky upstream to meet your chick for a night of romance and you come clean out of water to see that staring you in the face.
