Had one a couple of days & am finding it a bit frustrating in operation. You've got to get used to the shutter button location. When I first gave it to my wife, she pressed the on/off instead.
It stores the videos in a seperate folder than the stills. Takes only a couple of presses to go back & forth, but you need the menu.
When playing movies it continues to the next instead of stopping at the end of the one you are viewing.
I even found the online manual a bit of a pain (http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4432943111/EN/index.html).
But, ... I'm keeping it!
Told you I would not last a week, I took advantage of Adorama's offer on ebay, still full price, but includes a 32 gig card and no sales tax. Really looking forward to this.
This little camera does some things very well. However, being able to set a lowest SS in Auto ISO is not available and it frustrates me as its a "normal" function of most cameras that offer the AUTO ISO feature. The other bugbear I have is the AUTO ISO is not available in the M mode…? Why?
Still, the images its capable of are really outstanding compared to most others I have tried (LX5 aside as that is one great little camera too).

I've had my LX5 for a while and sold it after having the RX 100 for less than a week. I find the RX100 IQ to be in a different league from that of the LX5. The only situation in which the IQ of the two cameras might be comparable is in bright daylight where most cameras produce pretty good images.
You guys are slowly making me want to buy this camera to replace my Canon S90. How's the battery life on this camera? I know it's rated for around 330 shots but how many shots are you guys getting in actual use.

Around 500 without a ton of chimping. I have mine set without review on, and don't really use the flash.
