Wow. How insightful! How much did Canon pay you to post that? Or do you have samples/specifics to back up your claim?

It's important to remind ourselves that we live in an era where mindshare is everything and companies pay people to trash talk competing products on forums such as this.

That was unnecessary. I happen to agree with EBH. The Tammy is good but not great as a landscape lens because of the soft corners. The Canon Mk II will be better judging by the MTF chart.

<OT rant>
Why do cute girls feel the need to dye their hair and paint their nails in silly colours?
</OT rant>

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Hmm. That last one does not look sharp on the eyes.

I do see the value of the Tamron lens for the large aperture portrait work and the OS is quite useful.

Someone asked for this (distortion). Without a tripod, I cannot do it right. However, it would be very embarrassing to carry a tripod to do this

I would feel confortable using F8.0 for landscaping.

This is 100% before smoothing, reducing size and reducing quality for web photo ([email protected], near cornor, ISO 200):

The 5D3 is equipped with an electronic level. Very useful feature.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

I see what you said. That one reduced quility too much to save for web. I just replaced with a better one - if you refresh the page. For the sharpness, I have no complains.
