I'd only take a couple of lenses with me. Buy the D4, ship back the boxes back. Going through customs with the D4 and lenses in a camera bag wouldn't raise any eyebrows.

You can leave Britain with a D200, which can easily be painted into an '8', sell it on your arrival and have an alibi when passing through customs...
Probably easier to rub a 0 off and come back with a D80. Of course the serial numbers won't match
The only place I can find online in Copenhagen have just hiked their price to equiv £2200, may as well order from Germany for £2400 and have it shipped here
It came with a German manual ofcourse..... (any one want to swap a german for english manual? ) but I downloaded the EN manual from Nikon and printed that.
The good news is the camera was in English so I didn't have to figure out how to put it in to English from German

Hmm... let's see now..... 'Free at the point of delivery' is like saying I pre-paid for my food through my salary deductions so when I go to the supermarket and they don't charge me it means it's free right?
Hmm... Let's see now..... 'free at the point of delivery' is like saying I pre-paid for my medical appointment through my salary deductions so when I go to the hospital needing treatment I wait for 8 hours in a nasty, run-down, over stressed, over stretched facility to be seen by some junior doctor who's just coming to the end of a 20 hour shift and isn't capable of wiping his own arse, let alone delivering a professional life critical service, but I'm not being charged so it's free right?
