B&H received our first batch of EOS 5DMk III cameras and camera+lens kits today and we will ship them this afternoon. We expect our next delivery sometime next week.

I didn't order the kit. I pre-ordered the body only on 3/2 and amazon just shipped mine out and I will get it tomorrow.

Pre-ordered the non-kin from B&H on 3/2/2012 and received a confirmation email at 6:06AM on 3/2/2012. No credit card charge yet. It still shows as back ordered.
Jim did you order the kit or the non-kit? How early did you order?
This is a tad frustrating. Pre-ordered from B&H the day it was available (3/2) and haven't heard anything (other than a confirmation email of the order). I emailed customer service today to check on my order and haven't received a response. I leave the country for an assignment in one week and was hoping to spend time getting used to the camera (and being able to use it on assignment).

There's been no change to your order status. At this point it's possible you will not get your camera from the batch we received today. If not, I am sorry.
I ordered 3/2 at B&H, around 3 am PST and was listed as "Backordered" up until my credit card got charged. Checked order status and got the UPS tracking #

So it can happen pretty quickly!
3AM on 3/2? - OK I didn't get a email confirmation until 6:06AM PDT on 3/2. So somewhere between those two times must have been the cut-off for the first batch. Yours was a non-kit, correct?
Same thing ordered on 3/2 and still show back order even when I was chardged same date of preordering as they said International get charged when preordering, Which doesn't make sense. I think I should have getting priority being charged long before getting anything. This is definitely the last time I preorder anything from BH.
New update: Called Camera Canada located in London Ont. They had the camera in stock. Asked about price match to BH. They said "hell yes" and matched the US price!!! Cancelled both BH and Profeel as Profeel had said they wouldn't have the camera to ship till Friday. Camera Canada shipped this afternoon. Should be here Mon or Tues

i ordered from B&H on 3/2 and still have heard nothing about delivery....pretty frustrating to hear about people receiving the camera from all over he place while i wait to receive it from the number 1 camera retailer in the world..
