As expected, 36MP, top flight 1080p video, face recognition, 200,000 cycle shutter, 100% viewfinder...
Looks like a beast for studio and landscape photographers. The 36MP, dual (CF and SD) card slots, and new batteries and battery grip mean that I am now in the market for a pair of lovingly cared for D3s's...
Haha... from the translated press release: "It is ideal for situations where you can not compromise the fidelity, such as weddings, photo studio and record landscapes."
I guess if you don't have 36mp, you must be compromising fidelity
I'd bet that lots of wedding shooters will be shopping used D3s's or saving up for a D4. I know that I will. I'm willing to compromise a little fidelity
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting it right in camera, but why not treat 36mp as a tool like we use the RAW format? I don't see why it can't be a safety net despite most printers only print to 300 dpi.
