As for the quality of the rumors, perhaps it's not his fault. Maybe Canon is just better at locking down NDAs or enforcing embargos. Or maybe he just doesn't have the insider contacts the other sites have. Whatever the cause, the bottom line is his rumors are a mess.

Actually, this level of secrecy in Canon only happened around 2006 to 2007. Before that, leaks about Canon technology abounded and were almost always 100% accurate. Imagine detailed product leaks about 3 to 4 months before actual release.
All that evaporated after DPReview hammered various manufacturers for not coming down hard on websites that did not uphold NDA. This was also around the period of time when the D3/D300 were released. In fact, there were some RUMORS about someone high up in Canon ladder jumping ship and giving away lots of Canon secrets because he was disappointed with the way he was treated. Oh well...

Not to really get into this again, but I should first briefly publicly state that it is true that it's not fair to single out Apple when a dozen other big players (at least some divisions of Sony, already I don't think Canon or Nikon) and players internal to China too are doing the same and it is a complex issue which I far oversimplified.
That said the alternate view above is also oversimplified as well and surely a bit overly rose-tinted glasses and excusatory in view.
Anyway as I said later, it's a complicated subject, don't listen to what either of us wrote, go read about it in detail from many sources and points of view.
