Congratulations! I have 4 kids (youngest is 18 months) and it's one of the reasons I love photography so much Just took the family to Disneylnad for four days - it was their first time. They agree, it's the happiest place on earth Enjoy every moment of her life. They grow up fast!

Sooooooo excited to be given his Canon FT QL with 50 1.8 lens, a load of filters, Quantaray telephoto lens, Vivitar flash, and an awesome leather camera bag. I had no idea he even had any of this. He used to use it when he taught music at Memphis State University in the 70's (I think). What a surprise to be given this and can't wait to learn and use it!

OK, so someone above mentioned that a lot of photographers gift to temselves However, it looks like a few significant others are giving some amazing gifts as well. My question is: How do you get your wife to know what to give? My wife woldn't know the difference between an 18-55 kit lens and a 200 F/2 I have to gift myself or I would spend all my time de-gifting and eBaying to get what I need/want

Bought the 5D2 with the irresistable B&H package they were offering. The only sad part is I had to sell my 1Ds to help fund it I'll miss the 1 series but won't pout about it too long

You give your wife, or significant other, the bill after you gifted yourself.

reply to Roboticspro Your earlier post and images made me more aware of this lens( 35mm tilt and shift). thank you I wish you could see how nice this particular lens is, the cosmetics make it hard to believe that anyone ever used it!! i have been reading and reading the physics of optics and am still far from understanding the lens, but as you say having lots of fun. In the image that you mostly recently posted, can u remember how. approximately. you had the lens set? thanks joanlvh

I almost got that bag - love Think Tank bags! However, I ended up with the Pelican 1510 instead. I needed my gear to be able to ride in the back with some rowdy kids It's been great, but that Airport International looks nice!
I'll miss the 1 series but won't pout about it too long
