That would be nice. I mostly shoot basketball with a 135L. I'm usually at 1/500, F/2, and ISO 1600.. What's the light like in your gym?

Well as usual it was a delight to use. I was trying to shoot waders, which are very skittish, so had the 7D + 500 + 1.4 III. Shot mostly wide open and IQ is excellent. TC III looks very good. Haven't tested it against my TC II, but the real world results are enough for me.
I should say I've had the 500L for several years now, but finding good birding spots is tough so I don't use it as often as I would like.

I don't know if it's for Christmas, but in December I bought a T2i and Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non-VC (to replace one my wife confiscated), and a Canon S95 because the price was too good to pass up.

I've been wanting a 24mm TS-E II since I used a friend's a year ago, and the $230 rebate was impossible to resist...but then my resistance is usually low....
I'm loving it, but I'm not yet smart enough for it...practice, practice, out in the bone-numbing cold... .
(Okay, okay, my bones are easily numbed...)
