I am selling one of my most favorite lenses. It gives wonderful pictures. The lens is solid built with a ring USM for full-time manual focus. Focusing is fast and accurate. The pictures taken by this lens are very sharp with wonderful colors. I heard the secret is that Canon put a UD glass on this lens, which they usually do on L lenses. The lens has a price less than half of EF 70-200 F4.0 L USM, but produces similar quality pictures (90+%). There are some tiny dusts in the element, which doesn't impact the IQ at all. The lens body is in excellent condition.

I had one of these which I bought brand new in 1996 or '97. It was a great performer but the ribbon to the USM tore. Unfortunately Canon no longer services these and I wasn't able to find a replacement part. I am seriously tempted to buy this.
