#4: With almost no plumage, it got cold and went back under the wing to warm up. This cycle repeated with relatively short times out and most of the time warming up under the wing.
Steve I just love this series. Of course the 4 legged one is too cool, but the little chick steals the show in the rest of them. Great story to accompany them.

Thanks Wiley for looking and your kind reply. After looking at some of your great Alaskan wildlife shots, I sometimes wish to live there, but after seeing some of the stuff we have here it isn't so bad any more.

Hi Gary, these little chicks sure are great performers. I think the adult must be standing on its knees, or else the chick would be way below the lowest part of the adults body.
