Awww, how very nice! This is soooo cute. Thanks for sharing, that's just wonderful! I love the expression of the adult watching the little one practising eating.
Great work, Steve. Nice serie with a story.
Only comment that I would make it that in a serie liek this it is essential that the colors are the same in all pics. #3 and #4 have a little different color cast.
Hi Charlie,
I was very fortunate to stumble into this great opportunity. For me, its a reminder to keep my eyes wide open. I almost missed this one.
Best regards,

John,
I was very fortunate to stumble into this great opportunity. For me, its a reminder to keep my eyes wide open and go out shooting more often.

These are absolutely priceless Steve!
Besides the excellent detail and comp you have captured a very enjoyable moment.

Appreciate for your very nice compliment very much. I am glad you enjoyed them. Have gone back to that same location several times but did not see any Stilt protecting a chick under its wing. Maybe its because its warmer now and the chicks plumage has grown in the meantime.
You really captured the cuteness and vulnerability of the chick.
I've been looking out for the Stilt and Avocet chicks but haven't seen any yet.
Rob
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your kind reply. Have seen some Avocet chicks about a month ago at the path that continues from San Antonio Road. As for Stilt chicks, this is the first one I have seen ever.
