Distagon HFT 35mm 1.4 at f/5.6 .... weird:
Why do you suppose they went with a triangular aperture on the Rollei version of this lens? It's pretty unique bokeh, unmistakeable. Do you have need of an original Kindai Eos adapter for the lens?
i have no idea, why they used 3 blades, but they have several TV or cinema lenses with 3 blades ( http://cinematechnic.com/resources/zeiss_super_speed_f1,2_lenses.html ). Sometimes you can see, that in TV sports some cameras have just 3 blades (watch the lens flares). But as i said, no idea, what was the special reason...
would be nice, if somebody could comment that: why do they use a triangular blade ?
L,
Is your Leitax qbm/Eos mount a discontinued Leitax product or something you've customized yourself? Can find no qbm products on the Leitax website.
There is a nice looking Contax AEG 35/1.4 on the B/S board here at the moment. Something I'd love to have though with two other 35's it's hard to justify. Someday perhaps...

ups ...
sorry, it was called "Leinox"
but i had to file down ca. 1mm from the outer ring.
Shot was from this Spring along route 264 in eastern North Carolina, called a "highway enhancement area." I really appreciate the state roads people going to the trouble of planting flowers. Some may think this is frivolous, especially during hard economic times. I feel their beauty and a few moments of visual enjoyment and respite from everyday pressures is uplifting.
Oh no, not at all.
I made a big mistake when purchasing this top lens : I didn't check it's mount
This Vivitar is in Minolta mount, while I use Canon. (I thought it's a Nikon or other EOS-friendly mount ... a big mistake).
While I've converted 3 Rokkor lenses before, somehow I don't have a heart to convert this lens. It's a very mint lens. I will offer this lens to local Minolta camera users community. I hope this lens will find a new good master
But I wanted to taste this legendary lens, so I bought Minolta-EOS adapter with no optic. So it's like a thin extension tube.

I've used a Canon FD mount version of the Tokina 90/2.5 in the same way for some years, with a macro adapter, with excellent results. I was ok with it not focusing beyond 40cm or so, but I finally got it converted to EF mount.
