@rtester: I most liked the first and last of the latest set. I like shots with the light coming *through* flowers.
I tend to shoot flowers with the Nikon 105mm macro or the Zeiss 21mm. The 105mm is not at all alternative, so doesn't fit with this thread. A recent trip to Filoli Gardens (an old mansion opened to the public as gardens and museum) in the SF Bay area was shot about half and half with each lens. So, let me put up a few more with the 21mm.
I have to be really careful with the Nikon and intense reds as I blow out the red channel. The Zeiss seems to make it worse, if anything. I suppose that is good on the one hand as it means the lens is not "eating" the reds.
In any case, here are a few orange tulips. I had to use almost 2 stops of exposure offset to keep the red channel in bounds:
Thanks UCphotog , I really donn't know about it either, but I meet it at many places around.The last one is really good, so detail, I think but need more highlight.I am also learning to manage with red color on Leica X1.
