Unfortunately, I am not sure if the "Alte Bäder" tour will work out. I sent an email with questions about the number of locations, the amount of time at each location, the possibility of leaving out the computer session and the print for a lower price, and the request for more photos of the locations, but I get the feeling that the person who responded was very defensive, didn't actually answer any of it, and sort of shrugged the request for more photos off, saying that he had done a good enough job to get me interested enough to visit the site I pointed out that I hadn't signed up, and sent him links to this thread and my 500px page, and am waiting for a proper answer...
Looks interesting, but it looks like an abandoned place, not a tour, i.e. we would be illegally there. I am not strictly against that, but I do prefer the tours, simply because we know that someone has checked the safety, and no guards or police will hassle us in the middle
It's definitely an abandoned place. There are several comments on the internet, it's used for geocaching, no one reported about guards, fences or police.
Only a suggestion, a tour is perfectly ok.
Maybe I can make it out there to have a look around before Sep. 22 comes around. Probably in two or three weekends I would get the opportunity, but I doubt before. If there are no scary fences, and no booby traps, bloodhounds or vampire wolves, then we could do it.
Haha, yes, I normally go to sleep around midnight and am logged on just before that. This week though I am home alone and so I have been going to bed later.
Here is a shot from the Gärten der Welt, which I never got around to posting. D3 + Leica 35 Lux, wide open:
Gardens of the world? It's a nice green image Carsten where some local blur might help to enhance the 3D effect and ease up the nervous bokeh. But wth, we(?) are eagerly waiting for something from Tempelhof?!
Tack så mycket, you two Swedes (I am learning a little Swedish over on Martin's blog )
Yes, it is the 35/1.4 Summilux-R, quite a cool lens, if a bit difficult to focus. I kinda like the nervous boke wide open, it adds a little interest in the outer regions. I was a bit lucky with this shot (although it was exactly what I was trying to do), since the shot before and the shot after, both attempts at the same look, failed.
Crazy, that bunker shot got 4 views, 2 likes and 2 favorites within 4 minutes of being posted on 500px. That is the fastest rise of any shot I have posted there. I wonder why? I like it, but don't feel that it is sooo special.
I like the departure hall! The bunker is also interesting but I not a "favorite". Maybe it's the Tempelhof label that makes it? Thank you, and I'll look out for more!
