puuh,
three totally different shot.
I like the first one and the last one most.
The first one for its symmetry or geometry, the last one for its decline.
I've been on vacation the last few weeks and wasn't able to follow this thread - great to see your images, Carsten! I especially like your Lux-image and the geometry in your first shot on this page. How did you like Tempelhof, Carsten? I'm considering to visit it, too, but am undecided yet.
I really liked Tempelhof, but part of that was just seeing the place. I think with your moody processing it might take on a much stronger feel than with my quite literal processing, which could make some images much better. In general, the place is pristine, almost looks like everyone is just gone for the weekend. The one bunker in the basement was an exception to that. It looked like there might have been a fire, and some ceilings and wall were deteriorating. I will post more shots over the next days, so you can see more.
Ulff, No 1, 3 and 4 are great captures in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with the other images either but the mentioned ones are my favourites in this set. That's three very good images in one single reply... Yes, it can always be discussed how much, or in what way, an image should be processed. The last one is a bit over the top for me but I read the other replies as well... Very well done!
Thanks for the kind comments! And also for your Tempelhof report, Carsten! Sounds like a very interesting place, but only 4 hours time sounds not a lot for such a big area. I'm still undecided and looking forward for more of your captures!
I just finished a second set with seven images. The first one was taken with a NEX 5n + Leica 35 Summarit (if I remember correctly), the third one with 5D + 35 ZE 2.0 and the others again with the 17 TSE.
Thanks, Stefan! Seeing it here on the page I agree with you on 3+4 that both are a bit overcooked. I will try to desaturate #3 a bit [edit: done]; in #4 I sadly was to lazy to save any intermediate processing states so there's no easy going back without beginning new...
This is another nice set of images Ulff. Here #7 is my favourite. (#1 is a little too much for me, #2 is great but exactly in the center make me feel a bit un-easy (personal thing indeed) while #7 is bright, moody and mysterious at the same time. Thank you!
Yes, great work indded, Ulff! Quicker for me to say that I like one pic just a bit less that all the others, which are hanging material IMHO. N°6 gets my vote for "simply interesting"...
