Hi everybody,
here are a few from yesterday, Alte Fleischbabrik. I personally found the place (being there for the first time) quite depressing and not too overwhelming from a photographic standpoint. Too much vandalism has been going on for years, like in a lot of places in and around Berlin, too little "charm of the past" (other than Beelitz Heilstätten), but anyway, here are a few results:
All shots are ZF 50/ 1,4 or ZF 85/1,4 on my 5dII.
Very nice, especially #3, #5 and #6 is my favorite by far! I haven't had a chance to process yet, due to my selling off my Leica M system. I ended up getting nearly 30 answers, and have been busy with that, and family life. Maybe tonight...
just a short note if you where wondering where I am
I have moved both my business and my house to Berlin in the last months and have been extremely busy. Now, everything seems to be on a good way, moved the house 10 days ago.
Yay, welcome back Heinz! And Philippe, I hope you have a good work-related excuse for not getting in touch about last Monday
I am slowly untangling myself from a pile of unavoidable work over the winter and early spring, and can start to think about meetings again...
Who is interested, and what are some tentative times you might want to meet? Does early June work for anyone, maybe the 9th? It is wonderful in Berlin at that time of year, lots of sun and warmth and brilliant greens to challenge any digital camera's gamut.
9th is a Saturday and I have the gallery open until 6pm. Sunday would be better for me, but I know that it is difficult for Carsten on Sundays. So I'll have to find someone for the gallery. I would say the 9th should be possible.
Actually, with a bit of notice I can have Sunday off, but I think that Philippe has a strong preference for Saturdays, given that he has to fly in and out. This was why I suggested a Saturday.
We could also do a two-part Saturday shoot, with Heinz joining us for the dusk part? Maybe some architecture by the river or some other similar walk, or perhaps an HDR session with sundown in Tiergarten, etc.
