Carsten, I love your two last sets. In particular the first two in the penultimate, and the last two in the last set.
Just to "annoy" you, I really think the first of the last set is fantastic. My question is, do you think the opening (and resultant light-cource) on the right-hand side brings anything valuable? IMHO it just needlessly takes attention away from the superb door-and-light action on the left side. Just my $0.02.

Interesting change, Jonas. I find the vignetting too heavy, and the contrast a little bit too heavy, but having seen your version, I find mine a bit bland, so I will probably add a bit of contrast to it and maybe light vignetting. Thanks for the tip.
Philippe, thought-provoking suggestion, and believe it or not, it hadn't even occurred to me. I just went back and tried it, and unfortunately I think it doesn't work, mostly because the shot isn't strong enough to lose one centre of interest. With only the left door, it feels weak. Maybe if my original shot had been stronger, it would have benefited from this treatment.

Yes, my version is a bit exaggerated and I see what you mean about the vignetting. I used a double treatment of local contrast enhancement and then held it back completely in the shadows and partly at some other places. It always feels odd tampering with somebody else's image and I don't do it without an invitation. Sometimes it is easier though to show something than describing it in words.
I'm impressed by the amount of good to very good images you got from the outing. I have learned a bit from every page.
I've been enthusiastically following this thread for some time. Looks like you are having an excellent time, and Berlin looks to have some great photo opportunities as well!
Okay, there appears to be a lull now, so let's bring up the question of the next date again. Unfortunately, the tour people didn't answer my questions yet, so I might have to call them and ask what is happening. I am loosely thinking that we might have two more meetings this year, one on the 27.11 where we will try to do the Heilstätten am Grabowsee, and one sometime else, both quite possibly poorly attended. I guess things will start picking up in the new year, or maybe in spring, i.e. about mid-to-late March.
So, everyone please tell me your ideas, and let's see what can be done.

So, we are getting closer, and need to firm up plans for the next meeting. Tentatively, we had chosen the 27.11 as the date, and I would like everyone to speak up now, for or against. The other possibility would be to ask the tour company to do the 26th instead, but then the price would jump significantly again, most likely. One the 27th, we can just sign up on the tour page here, individually.
Before anyone signs up, let us re-iterate who can make it. I have the following in mind:
I am not sure if we need cars to get there, but it seems likely. I have a car and can comfortably transport myself and 3 others, 4 if we squeeze. Perhaps someone else has a car too and we can do it in more comfort. We should probably plan 1 hour to get there and back, and the tour starts at 11, so we should leave 10 or soon after. Does this fit everyone? We still need to choose a place to meet, but let's first just hear who is in and who not.

I called Vincent (on another matter), and he unfortunately will be too busy, probably until the spring. He is working on another book, and needs time for this. He sends many greetings, especially also to Philippe
I can confirm that I can make it on 27.11. (26.11. would be OK, too, if I know it soon enough). I have no car so it would be nice if I can reserve one seat in your car, Carsten. I can also make it easily to the S-Bahn station Oranienburg (probably a few kilometers away from Heilstätten).

Well, 50-60 Euro is a bit stepp just to be allowed to enter the place.... Make the better date and I will try to join you.
Carsten, I'm in exactly the same situation as Bernie. I will try to come to Berlin on the weekend 26th/27th, but I can definately confirm this only about a week before the meeting. If I can come, I will have car and can take other people to this place. And I would really prefer the saturday, as I have to be back in Bavaria on sunday evening. I would be willing to pay up to 60€ for the visit of an interesting place on saturday.
