I check eBay from time to time, but time to keep a daily tab on the Tokinas I suppose. I still can't believe how sharp the lens I got is. Nice shots, may have to try the 80-200 if the price is right. Also in the market for a 50mm of some flavor.

Looking for a 50, eh? Try the Yashica 50mm f2.0 ML. WOW is all I can say.
This one was a bit of a surprise. I paid only $50 for it and thought for sure it would be crap. Thus the surprise! It's really quite good! <shock>
Tokina_AF_100-300mm_f5.6-6.7 @ 300mm, Wide open at the long end. Massive Crop.
110% Crop of above.

I didn't need to process this almost at all. This is pretty much "straight out of the camera" so to speak. The moon below I did process though, I don't remember exactly what... maybe some contrast and sharpening?
Tokina_AF_100-300mm_f5.6-6.7 @ 300mm, One stop down from wide open, 100% crop.
Here's what the lens looks like. Maybe you can see why I thought it was gonna be crap?
Dustin, I especially love the image you opened this thread with. (I haven't worked out how to repost it here or I would have done.)
I'd like to know how you process to get such well exposed foliage AND detail in the water, as the waterfalls I know are so often in dark gloomy places that never get much light.
Nice thread. I love my Tokina lenses, superb build quality, really sharp, and a lot cheaper than L glass.
Been trying to find a 17mm f3.5 for canon without much luck. One being sold in the sell/buy forum at the moment but he wants to sell it as part of a package.
I also just picked up the 50-135 and it is amazingly sharp, and I have the 35mm macro coming this week. The 50-135 has been discontinued for a while and the 35 just got the ax, so if you want one I would suggest heading over to Adorama and placing an order. They told me they have about 5 left for canon mount.
