Ok, so maybe not the most "alt" stuff out there, but whatever. The Tokina lens I have is probably one in a billion! It is so sharp (atleast I keep telling myself that, lol) and the specific Tokina lens I have is the 17mm 3.5 R.M.C. in Nikon mount and I use it with my 1Ds. Pretty alt I guess.
I will start this off with an image. If there is an image thread, I apologize.

I guess it's as alt as alt is. I know several local photographers who will choose Tokina over the other alt makers in the same class - like Tamron, Cosina, Sigma, etc. - given the choice. I sure like the AT-X lenses I have...
Recently got a Tokina 28mm F2.8 RMC in C/Y mount. I like it, a lot. Colour rendition is very good. SHARP at f8, which is where I shoot most of the time anyways. C/Y to EOS adapter on my 7D.
So here goes.
A hidden surprise, also in the 5 dollar grab-bag of goodness my friend found at the local Thrift store. 80-200 f4.5 Tokina RMC, along with the 28mm RMC and 50mm Yashica I have been showing off in here (all in C/Y mount). Threw 32mm of extension tubes on this 80-200mm Tok today.....surprised to say the least. Even shot w/o the tubes, it looks to be a sharp lens. This is gonna be fun!
All of these shot through the viewfinder, by guess and by golly..... getting used to focusing 'by the seat of my pants' with manual lenses.
