Mike, very nice with the moon. Last Friday I was driving east for ~20 minutes directly towards the moonrise and was kicking myself for not having the appropriate gear with me, though I was also in the middle of nowhere interesting. I tried on Saturday, but of course the moonrise was about 45 minutes later and the sky was already nearly black... in the meantime I was getting swarmed by mosquitos. I did get something, though IMO just OK. See below.
The water reflections were with the 70-200 f/L IS and the rest were with the 400 2.8 IS (I was just coming from a football game, so had it along and thought might as well stick around for the moon), all on a 1DIV.
The first couple reflection shots were totally manipulated in Lightroom. The reality was a soft pastel, which I should try reprocessing for a subtle effect, but wanted to go much more dramatic with the first two above.
