At the risk of double-posting (in the NEX thread), here's Orion and a faint glimmer of the Milky Way rising over Case Grande in Big Bend NP. Lots of moonlight, so nowhere near the star show you get on a moonless night there, but still nice.

Thanks. It's THE shot I wanted to get when I bought a DSLR. This version isn't perfect, but it's good enough to keep me fired up and trying to do better.
Waiting for Canon to fix it and ship it back to United Camera, who will then ship it back to me. Those are the vagaries of the B&H Sagemax warranty, I guess.
