Gunzorro, you oughta head out to the Sierra Nevadas and try to photograph the bioluminescent polydesmid millipedes! I imagine they're quite a site to see.
Also, are flash-lit wildlife shots allowed? When I was tagging along on anuran calling surveys last summer I did a ton of that kinda shooting.
obik -- I'm no rules master, but I'd say anything between sunrise and sunset would be acceptable. Obviously, we aren't looking for any interior flash photos, but exterior -- sure!

All taken in the dead of night, most while while "assisting" (i.e. tagging along) on anuran calling surveys. Most of 'em aren't great, but it sure was fun.
Wow!!! I am blown away by the quality of the photos in this thread. I was going to comment on the excellence of the photos of Staples Center in Los Angeles, but I looked at the other photos in the thread and they too are worthy of comment. This thread was definitely worth a second and third look. Great job!!!
One of the annoying things about this area seems to be the high amount of air traffic, making it nearly impossible to get a clean, clear sky in certain directions, though an easy fix in Photoshop:
