wow! seems very sharp at close distance and certainly has smooth boket. Despite the bad weather and light a very effective shot. You seem to know right from the start how to handle this lens! thanks for posting such good images (rather than "test shots"). Is that at MFD? Not quite I guess.

here are two as a comparison for boket with the ZF 25/2.8 wide open at MFD

That was not me

I didn't mean to imply that it was you who said that (someone else did, in a thread about this lens).

I use the image upload and check the copyright option which puts that on but doesn't have the copyright symbol correct. What is the ASCII code for that?
The other thing not so good about it, is if someone on the net copies the picture, the watermark is not on it.

The symbol does display correctly for some other people using image upload (Bob/rji2goleez for instance). If you're on Windows, you can type the symbol by pressing ctrl+alt+c (but you have to switch your keyboard layout to US-International first).
I just add a watermark in PS so it's part of the picture and not lost if someone else direct links to my images.

Thanks Cyra! I think Rodin deserves all the credit on the last one.
It was close, maybe 4 ft away, not MFD. I think the new 25 has improved bokeh from what I have seen. Beautiful shots of Vienna, hope to get there one day.
Bokeh testing requires side by side testing in the same light conditions and distance, usually with some subject which is tortuous on bokeh rendering.
Checkered shirts and backlit trees are some of my favorites.

Another botanical gardens shot that I just can't get my eyes off. I am not quite sure what it is about it which catches me and keeps me looking. If I knew, I would do more shots like this to explore the phenomenon 100MP very close up, and at f/5.6:

Thanks, Joakim. Here is another, probably final, shot from the botanical gardens. 100MP, f/8:

Wayne - It is interesting that Stanford version of Burgerus of Calis seem to have a little different sparse layout of this piece. Ones I am used to ( DC, Philadelphia, Paris ) has all figures laid out much closer to each other. I don't see other figures in the back, but beautiful bokeh in this. Anyway, look at that eyes ! ( I am a Rodin fan )

Carsten - the thing that caught my eye ( two shots ago ) was the broad stroke of composition. Dynamic curve dividing the scene on the right. Georgia O'Keeffe's work came to my mind. Typical macro flower tend to treat flower as object, this shot is treating more abstract spatial element, that to me is the strength of this shot. Beautiful work. I like the second one for the weight of the OOF area. It feels just about right to me.

Dergiman, Jae, Carsten, Joakim - Thank you ! It seems 50mm is still my favorite focal length.

Jae - Nice shots of watches. Sorry I do not share enthusiasm toward watches, so I have no idea of rarity, or value of those watches, but shots are great.

Joakim - Very nice works. The previous set, first and second made a great composition. I also like the 'Rubble' shot. Nice B/W too.

Flypen, top class watch shots.

Akul, I like your warm color scheme.

Joakim, nice shot. I could do with a bit more contrast/bang in the very nice BW - still I like it and the previous set.

Here's the Contax G 28/2.8 on NEX 5N in harsh low sunlight.

And another one, G28 NEX 5N. Some lighting PP on this, not 100% about the outcome.
