Thanks Bob! That last shot is very evocative. I remember the cold Canadian winters when I see that. Here we have had no snow yet, and barely temperatures below 10 degrees most of the winter so far. Very unusual.
Carsten - Deutscher Dom shot is very nice. Love the color and composition there.
michael49 - Lovely set with CY 28, #3 is my fav.
wayne - Great capture of color. Beautiful sun set.
Bob - Beautiful sun set shot, but I am really drawn to the #3. Very lovely rendering.
Much less snow ( Vermont ). Winter 2011 was oddly warm, which seems to be the case in both US and Europe. Seee what 2012 will bring.

Indeed. Last year we had a nice cover of over a foot of snow here in the first 2(?) weeks of January. We've only had one day of snow in December and that had all melted away by the end of that day.
Carsten,
you are using it on nikon? Is that possible?
Yes, I had it and it was a nice and sharp nels. Great for the price. However if you have canon 70-200/4L is so much better. And does not cost more than 400euro used either.

I have been asked some questions about the Contax 80-200/4 Vario-Sonnar, which I will try to answer.

You seem to be posting both question and answer? I do have it on Nikon with a Leitax adapter. It is a very nice lens, sharp from wide open, but not as sharp as a ZF.2 lens. I do not have the Canon 70-200/4 for my Nikon (!) so I can't compare them, however I would be surprised if the Canon has better colours and boke, although it might be sharper.

aha, that thing. I plan to move to Nikon soon and was really feeling sorry to lose my olympus lenses (35mm Shift in particular).

that is because I was not aware of the new adapter.
