Lovely shots, Akul. How did you use CY 50 on the D700?

must be a 1.7?
Thanks.
No, this is CY 50/f1.4 MM version converted using Leitax mount. I was lucky that rear lens barrel did not interfere with mirror like they warn in the web site.
feto - beautiful mushroom. They say colorful ones are poisonous
Greg - Shocked you sold 50/1,4 ! Ha ha, kidding. 50 1.7 certainly looks very good. Good composition! Do you think bokeh may be a bit busier than 1.4 ? ( Not that 1.4 has creamy bokeh either )
Hi Akul...
from what I've read, the bokeh of the 1.7 is supposed to be better! And, it is def sharper wide open and stopped down 1 stop than the 1.4 MMJ was. I also think the 1.7 has better micro-contrast(am I repeating my self?), although, I do think your copy of the 1.4 was def better wide open than mine!! I will be posting more, soon. Then, the final decision, was, that i just can't part with my 50L, 'cause I do need some AF for portraits of kids and families and such!!
Gregg
I have noticed that 1.7 delivers beautiful shots ( when handled by good hands of course ) from other posts. so it is no surprise your shot looks great. Now I see your photo on desktop, it looks even better than laptop. ( FYI, I am usually not a huge fan of pet shots, so it is saying something ) By the way, I was going to look for 50 1.7 if my conversion did not work with my camera, but i did not have to go that route. Looking forward to more from your 1.7 !
Pictures taken with a Sony A850 + Bounce flash + C/Y Contax Carl Zeiss 35-70 + Marumi Super DHG Polarizer.
I had my Sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro with me but I didn't break it out. It was extremely difficult focusing at F3.4 in the dark in a very dimly lit bar but I managed.

Wow, that one pops!
Btw, you don't need those img tags unless you're using a https URL (and the BBCode tags use square braces, not curly ones).
Thanks Aham for catching the disclosed 'boo boo'. I was in a rush and miss typed. I still don't know exactly when you need the bracket img thing or not, but it seems to work without, which is interesting.
FlyPen - Very nice shots of watches. 35-70 looks good.
nick - Very interesting results. #1 seems to overexpose the background while other two didn't. And the swirly boke of #2 is just wild. Even with focus, it has the misty cast over, which may not be so bad for portrait in some situation.

+1. Very cute.
Thank you. This is the one of the first trip of Apo-Makro-Planar.It rather heavy - it's manual focus so catch the focus led blink seem difficult in sunshine ( SD9 has not beep sound).I will try it with a tripod and on 5D2.Nice weekend.
