Hmm, I see it now, but I didn't fiddle with the colour. Weird.

I just checked, and it is there in the raw file. I guess the combination of the pre-storm light, slightly brownish-red earth and shadow must have done that. I could try to tickle the white balance and see what happens.
8-shot stitch with the 100MP@f/2.8. My best shot of today, and I am quite happy with it, but it isn't perfect (missing trunk at the bottom, perhaps composition improvement), so I will go back and improve it.

Carsten-
I'm sure you mentioned this at one time or another, but I probably wasn't paying attention. ;-)
What software are you using to stitch? What is your physical set-up (head, brackets, rails, etc.)? If you've posted this somewhere before, just post a link to that discussion. Thanks.

I see what you mean too. It looks like they might have been upsized in the process of linking image. It happened before. Link image and it gets enlarged. Also true is that I kept sharpening to a minimum.
I'm guessing it's just the sharpening. If you uploaded your images at 1024x689, that's how they are being displayed here. The time before there was something with the way your images were being linked that stretched (upsized) them, which reduced the sharpness, but that isn't the case now.
Lotus, I have a full RRS pano setup (with the old vertical arm) and a GT3541XLS with a Burzynski Ball Head II, and I was carrying it yesterday, but for this shot, it had started raining and I took it carefully by hand. I use CS4 to stitch, and if that works poorly then I switch to Autopano Pro.
Yeah, 25 shots of a tree? It must hold some sentimental value...unless you're just experimenting with stitching. What program do you use? Looks like a good stitch though.
Carsten, Aham B- My images are hosted by Zeissimages.com. This time around, I checked and it was not the strange zooming effect I experienced last time. Checked the original RAW and It is probably a combination of not-good original and weak sharpening. It is either I did not have critical focus, or got some motion blur occurred although I was using a tripod, every now and then, I used it as a 'monopod'. These could be from those situation. Basically It seems I was fooled by the micro contrast of ZF100. Sorry !
Romaln - #1 #3 are definitely my favorite
Carsten - Brilliant works. Love your tree shots. Very pretty leaves with the 50MP shot. Shallow DOF effect of 8 and 25 shot stitch are very effective and the dreamy quality it shows is very attractive. It is not the dreaminess usually associated with spherical abberation, but sort of the hyper-real one, As FlyPen puts it, probably the MF type quality. Composition wise, I find I am drawn to the 3 shot stitch a little more, but I question myself whether that is because it has more familiar structure to my eyes. Definitely love that Danish Bed shot. Brilliant. Something about the sand texture and spring coils is captivating.
