These are great, but you know, I think I would prefer them as regular photographs. Triptychs are not normally used to divide larger images, or to show adjacent regions, but rather to bring together mutually complementary photos. Used in your way, it feels a bit contrived, or gimmicky. These photos would be great just on their own.
I've definitely seen triptychs that are both split images and complementary images. I'm not sure which is more prevalent. I like both images, the quarry especially.
Here's a lightpainted image with my old favorite, 21mm C/Y Distagon on the A7r. It was layered from 6 or 7 images I think. The blue colouring comes from some ambient light filtering in through a broken vent on the left (blue sky). The rest of the light in the image comes from my led flashlight. All were left autoWB; exposures of the fuses, several of the wall from different anges, and one of the wiring.
Even ears need more fur at 4400m and minus 20C. The CY 35-70 maintains its composure in the harshest of light, and is a pleasure to post process on Sony sensors. What a color palette, and what CA? One of my most 'photographic' lenses, I'll never sell it. A near total lack of curvature means everything appears 'just right' in object space. This is from an a99 but the lens is great on the a7r also.
I usually have them in a Contax leather/pleather lens case. I like the smooth texture, since it doesn't catch when I'm pulling lenses into my pockets, which is how I generally carry them (1-2) while out and about. These are are much smaller and lighter lenses than your 135/2, though.

I just received my new Zeiss 135 F2 APO ZF.2 and noticed that it didn't come with a case or lens sock etc.
I was wondering how you all care for your Zeiss lenses when they are not mounted on your camera?
Used to worry things like this, and tried to find neoprene pouch for each lens. In real life I have never used those pouches, unless I carry few lenses on laptop bag (so that they could scratch each another). However to protect the front lens element make sure you throw away the Zeiss lens cap and replace with Nikon or Canon lens cap. With Zeiss lens cap and hood reversed it's too risky to carry ZE/ZF series lenses even in camera bag, 9 out 10 times you will find your lens without the cap.

The front lens cap of ZE/ZF lenses is a disgrace to otherwise fine lenses. Total crap. I am truly disappointed that Zeiss continues to ignore this long-standing customer complaint.

Thanks for the comment arduluth. Hey, I see that we are practically neighbors with me being in Wi. How's the winter weather been treating you? I'm looking forward to spring...can't come soon enough!

Thanks Samuli for your comments. I see what you all mean about the lousy lens cap. My God, for what we have to pay for these lenses and this is the best they can come up with? I'll be searching eBay this weekend for a Nikon cap or maybe just swing by the camera store and see if they have any on hand. Great tip by the way, thanks!
