Wilhelm, the gay ok shot is just amazing. The people each with different expressions, the lighting, and perfect 3D from that 100 Planar.
+1
I wonder how this C/Y version compare to MP100 and Leica APO-R?
Wilhelm, I don't know if it is your PP or what, it has some enigmatic rendering which I never see from MP100. Do you shoot it at f2?
The DOF transition is very different than MP100 at that distance.
The two champions of quick transitions from point of focus to OOF are the CY 100P and. CY 35/1.4 which render lots of 3-d. I have both along with 100APO.
The 100MP renders OOF areas more strongly than 100P which has softer, more painterly bokeh.
100MP bokeh can be sometimes more nervous depending on subject distance and lighting.
100 APO is very sharp with smooth transition and smooth bokeh with no loCA unlike 100MP
I now also have CY S 100P with bellows which is amazing for macro with T/S.

Much obliged FP. But that nick is a new one. Sausage?
Thanks so much Jim, your comments inspires and means a lot. But she is not an amputee, she is squeezing her arms in for reason of... shall we say entertainment? :-)
You posted similar shot before I remember.
Isn't this a she-male with fake boobs?
Wilhelm: Haha .. hope that it is not a snusdosa in my daughter pants ;-)
it is the lens cover in one pocket and the iphone in the other :-)
Wonderful pictures yourself there :-)
LT thank you, sir, getting in some practice before coming to Paris next month I found out a few minutes ago that it really helps to have better glasses when using MF So, hopefully, my Zeiss shots will be much sharper.
your photos and those of Don Jean's and Curtis G's remain the benchmarks for me
BTW, we'll be arriving the AM of the 16th and departing the AM of 26th. Nothing of course is simple - my wife's relatives are going to be in Paris at the same time. Nevertheless, I remain hopeful that our schedule will work out so that at least I can hop the TGV to and from Strasbourg for a short day trip. It'd be pleasure to see you if we could work that out
Tony, good news. I'm in Paris for my job at least twice a weak and in Strasbourg time to time but usually quite busy.
Let me konw when you are in Strasbourg. Would be great if you could be there during the week end.
I'll keep you posted on what my schedule is looking like and will do my best to see if we can meet up. We will be staying at Hotel SaintJacques, I think it's in the 5th A. but I'm not sure.

yep, I know the Hotel Saint Jaques. It is very well located in the "Quatier Latin" near the boulevard Saint Germain.

Is there a reason you post here and not in the dedicated ZF/ZF/ZM thread (I haven't paid that much attention)?
Maybe because C/Y is not ZF/ZE/ZM.
Besides, I see this as more of a discussion-oriented thread, but there is of course some overlap.
The ZE/ZF/ZM is in reality more like a ZE/ZF thread. Even the ZM feel like out of place. I like this thread more, as it encompasses any Zeiss lens from any era.
