That first one is beautiful! The second makes me think Lloyd for some reason

I had no idea that greens varied that much in the world! I would have a very hard time taking landscape photos in that part of the world then. A huge part of the attraction for me is the variety of bright greens. I am less a flower person.

Just for your info, this is what the (european) greens look like with the Apo-Makro-Planar on NEX-5N.

I've posted alot of additional shots in the NEX thread.

Ha! Ha! Thanks Carsten and Edward!
Yeah, I just included the Stanford MenU church to show how good the 35/2 is across the frame even on the demanding D800E. I take test shots there all the time with my new lenses or cameras so it is easy for me to see differences in IQ. The D800E with Zeiss glass really extracts higher levels of detail than 21/24 MP cameras, its very interesting difference. Also in the first shot I was able to extract more detail in the branches of the Cypress trees without getting any noise.

Superb Carsten. I feel I'm inside the room looking at the photo. Glad I'm not though

Haha, thanks It was in a basement, and was quite dingy, a bit moist too.

Carsten, nice color and light!

Here is one from a hike last weekend with rented ZF.2 21/2.8 on my D800E.
Need more time to process the rest. Pretty dry year so far this year here so greens will not be as lush, especially this time of year.

Wayne - that a gorgeous image!

Haven't posted here in a while so I thought I better share some recent Zeiss love!

Crazy colours! That second one is my favorite.

I got lucky tonight, and on my stroll through Tiergarten, the Central Park of Berlin, I saw a raptor with a rabbit (hawk?), a fox, and some bunnies. Here is a shot of the raptor. Unfortunately, the longest lens I had with my was a Zeiss 100/2 MP, but with 36MP, I was able to crop out a nice 10MP This is no Doug Herr shot, but I am quite happy with it. D800, 100MP@f/3.3:

Thanks Brian! I am going out to a forest today, but this time I will bring my 70-200/2.8VRII and TC14E-II!

Somehow, my 24-70/2.8 and 70-200/2.8VRII are my most useless lenses. I can't post the results here!

Last one of your three is my favorite.

Carsten, that looks like a Coopers hawk.
I have plenty of bird shots with my 500L which I can't post in this forum.

It does look like that, but there aren't any here in Europe...

I did some more research, and it appears to be a young goshawk (Habicht in German). It was quite large, so perhaps it was a female?

Ok, it's larger Accipiter relative.
Looks like it has a nice meal.

Can anyone suggest a good hood for the C/Y Zeiss 35-70mm 3.4? Maybe even a better version to work on a crop sensor, since I don't use the full glass coverage...
