Note as much as people make out. I went from a D300 to the G1 (and now the E-30 as well). The G1 actually delivers marginally more resolution than the D300, slightly better colour, but is noisier at ISO 800+ and loses out on dynamic range.
The demonstration from eolake shows that the G1 keeps up very well with the Ti1/500D despite the smaller sensor, while delivering better colour.
