I sent a 1d with 300 F2.8 to Canon for calibration. Sent it through a authorized Canon shop. Came back with the rear LCD broken. Fellow at the shop immediately recognized the problem, apologized profusely, and sent it back to Canon. Came back good as new. A little inconvenienced by the delay, of course, but please with the service.

Accidents happen. Give them a chance to fix it.
