It\'s definitely a good alternative to the bigger/heavier/pricier 200-400 f4 for travel and hiking. It should be very good quality based on Nikon\'s record of updating lenses. Price should come down once the initial rush to have it first dies down.
That\'s my take on it, if it cuts the mustard on IQ I\'ll be getting one for sure.
