Jeff, I do not think you\'d need 1.4xTC on your 5DMkIII in order to match the reach of 7D. At low ISO they are similar in reach, however beyond ISO 1600, 1DMkIII starts to slay 7D.
Heck, I\'ve got so much reach with 1DX, I will soon be downgrading my lenses from 500mm to 400 mm.
