ME (M9) or M240 & 50 Lux ASPH is in the $9500-11000 range. Isn\'t this lens supposed to be around $3000+?
The sample crops they showed do look extremely impressive if that\'s wide open. The 50 Lux ASPH will not give you that high a level of wide open edge/corner performance. The more apt comparison will be against the new Leica 50/2 APO. I\'m sure someone eventually will put the two lenses on the new M body for a direct comparison.
The question for me at least is whether the size and weight are worthwhile tradeoffs for the apparently outstanding technical performance.
