Leighton and Georg - thanks for the feedback. I also like the PSE version better - it's cleaner.
Kevin - I've also only tried the trial version of Silver Efex but now having played with both IMO it's a product that suits my approach better than the Topaz product as I find it simpler to use.
Curtis - the rose is great and with my tired old eyes there is very little to choose between the 85's. I'm sure the colour and sharpening could be matched in PP and if money is an issue I'd go for the f2 - if they ever become available here!!!
Georg - stunning boat conversion. As for the Canon..............
