 Fall Color 2012 | |
GSMNP. The Foothills Parkway east is past peak, but there is still color and lots of leaves on the trees. But, this might change this weekend after rain and a cold front moves through. The road to Cades Cove is past peak except for the area that has the beautiful yellow leaves every year which is at peak. I didn't take the Cades Cove loop road because traffic was backed up at the entrance even though it was midday. The road to Tremont is also past peak. You'll probably be able to find color somewhere in the park for another week or so. Fall is winding down folks.
