Now, when is the 2.8XIII tele converter going to be announced? Imagine: a 400 f/2.8 II + 2.8X = 1120mm f/8 with AF! The 400II gets more versatile. In a desperate pinch anyway. Actually, judging from the 2XIII performance a 2.8XIII tele converter may be a truly viable option, except it would have to be called just a 2.8X.
