I would tend to agree if the frequency of these sales events were lower but the events are occurring frequently enough to where they represent a de facto price decrease. The events create the expectation of lower prices for future purchases along with a push/pull affect of immediate demand (ie, someone who wants to purchase in the next two weeks will wait for an event, so they push/pull the immediate demand).
