I have a question regarding micro contrast and resolution using the pencil analogy. One lens can draw reasonably thin but not the finest line with good contrasty black and white lines ( like HB pencil). Other lens, draws with much finer line pencil, but it is less contrasty, say 50% gray ( like 6H pencil). In this scenario, \'resolution\' of the latter would be higher but with less contrast. So, when you say micro contrast = resolution, I don\'t quite get that part.
Regarding OP. I am split in the middle. For instance, 35 1.4\'s images from forum members are my visual proof that this new lens is a quite a fine lens, and yet its weight and new price point certainly does not excite me.
