Adorama has it refurbed for $149.99 (or at least did a few weeks back) - with a 90 day Nikon USA warranty.
I think it\'s a good lens; it\'s tack sharp at any aperture and focal length on my D7000. The only reason to stop it down is for DoF. I think this is utterly amazing for a lens that\'s little more than budget zoom. Okay bokeh, color very good, VR quite effective, AF is quite okay. Not much flare to speak of. Makes me think there just aren\'t any bad lenses anymore... It would be a steal even at MSRP. Nikon could easily touch it up with a steel mount and a DoF scale and charge $699 for it.
Maybe there\'s a lot of unit variation, but I think mine is excellent.
