Unusually, I was about to cup my hand around this young Gecko for a closer look when from around the corner of the wall at lightning speed came this big-ish Huntsman, about four inches leg span. Spider must have known Gecko was coming, probably from signal lines laid down. And it was over soon enough as Spider silently crept away into the darkness of the house's wooden framework , still carrying his dinner, glistening venom falling over one eye of it as he went.
Those Huntsmen are pretty damn fast. I kept a few when I lived in Florida, and they always surprised me with their speed, even on vertical surfaces. Great images!
