Minolta MD 24mm 2,8 at my 5D.
i love the colors and also sharpness /contrast wide open.
although at the corners it is not sharp anymore,
but u cant have it all.
i also have the canon FD 24mm 2.0 but it flares easily.
especially with this diffuse light.
here in Germany we have really bad weather.
fissile rain, not cold but also not warm, and foggy.
all wide open at 2,8.
beautiful shots, i especially like the first one. that lens is a favorite of mine for the color and oof rendering on crop cameras and film (don't have a FF )
I like the great minolta colors and rendering of the OOF areas too.
Too bad about the corner sharpness.
You might want to try the MC/MD 28/2. It is sharp and has great Minolta colors too.
I had both 24mm MC and 24mm MD (the MC has 9/7 construction, same formula as Leica 24mm, and the MD has 8/8 construction and 49mm filter size)
I made a comparison with the 2 versions, but right now I only have the MC version because the MD was stolen.
I think I prefer the MD because is a bit sharper wide open, but corner perfomance is better on the MC version. The bokeh is also a bit better on the MC, but very similar.
I was under the impression that MD/MC mounts couldn't be adapted to Canon EF without losing infinity focus. However, your forest shot looks like it isn't an issue here. What am I missing? I am interested because my dad has some older minolta lenses (MD mount) that I would try to get up and running.
