Lora,
Very nicely done. Liked them all. By the way, I never tire of hummers. That is NEVER! We live pretty close to the Mexican border and at 4600 feet of elevation. Our adult male rufous came on July 18th this year and were gone before August 10th.

Thanks. I don't tired of them either, but there have been a lot of them since last week. There's no rhyme or reason to when a Rufous will show up, so I could have another chance this year, who knows.

Well I think you are a 'natural' Lora Considering the lens/TC used, you were spot on and got some fantastic shots IMO. I really am liking #2, wing blur, sharp body and good color on a cool BG

I hope you get many more opportunities, congrats on your firsts!

Thanks Karl. I wouldn't reccommend a macro to shoot hummers and with a TC, even slower. Seems like most people don't like much if any wing blur, but I don't mind it and it depicts motion. Yea, I hope I hope I get another opportunity.
These are beautifully done Lora, I've got to give them a try one of these days.
Wonderful job with fill flash in #1, very pretty. I also love the pose you captured in #4 with the fanned tail.
Very well done, I really enjoyed them all.

I don't think there is such a thing as hummered out Lora, at least not when they are this good! Congrats on the Rufous All are such beautiful shots, you have really mastered the art Lora!
Keep them coming
Tim
Thanks Tim, but I'm still working on getting to the level that you and Tom and Ted and few others are at with the natural light hummers. I love a good challenge...

Thanks Kirk. With your skills you won't have any problems doing hummers. With hummers all you're ever trying to do is nail the focus and hope you get something interesting with the light at the right angle.

Beautiful set Lora..... ....yep, first and last are my picks too......
Thanks Jim. These don't compare to your excellent work, the multiple flash technique is another style to mostly natural light shots. I do enjoy it though...
Beautiful hummer images,Lora! I saw some Rufous in AZ but not many and in my yard,I see very few hummers.
I hope you'll get more hummers and I'm looking forward to see more of your hummer shots.
