p.1 #1 · It only took 2 years... | |
...but it finally happened. I've been wanting to get a capture of two Hummingbirds perched together and I've had two opportunities but I wasn't quick enough. Last Sunday I got lucky as a juvi male landed on a stick...than an adult female landed next to him.
The juvi male has been feeding himself from flowers and a feeder...he's actually a pig and a bully towards the other Hummingbirds. But I guess if he feels he can get a free meal he'll try as he did when the adult female landed next to him.
He begged and actually locked his beak onto hers but she never fed him....the video I'm going to post shows him getting frustrated and grabbing her chest feathers.
