Wow, these are awesome! Great colors and really sharp. 10 is such a great capture, especially in B/W. I agree with others here that 15 is too funny. Well Done!
@ultimaterowdy: low angle shots like 19 and 20 are shot blind, just takes practice, i'd love a full frame camera with a swivel screen, shooting the hassey (looking down in the viewfinder) was probably an influence
@benj: well you were close in that it is a barrier island, but not close in that it's the Outer Banks of North Carolina..
thanks Alan... shooting "blind" means you set the focus (manual or auto), set focus to manual (if it's not there already), put the camera in a spot that's inconvenient for your eye to follow, and then snap away? (maybe going wider than intended to make sure you can crop for comp later) is that right? thanks again...
just back button focus like any shot, i use the same technique for over-head shots too, with practice you learn to get the angle and line of the lens to subject right, I don't think either of those shots are cropped, and if the are, only slightly.
I have to jump on the #15 bandwagon, it is definitely too funny. #1 is also great because I really like the fact that the mirror of the car seat shows the baby clearly.
