Very nice Martin, man you taking advantage of this trip to nab some different species! My favorite has to be Mrs Woodie with the greenery on the right adding just that little bit extra to the comp Congrats on getting both a Greater and a Lesser yellowlegs! I'm partial to the Lesser in this mix. I don't know the ID's of the yellow birds but I do like the comp of the first one set in the leaves like that. GBH on a stick, what perch that guy has The Waxwing is looking mighty nice Don't get in the way of them and their berries
Hi Tim,
Isn't it great to be able to get so many firsts
Glad you liked the Woodie, that certainly was my favourite too.
Thanks, I will look out for those dangerous WW
Am back to Geneva tomorrow but still have a few to process and post.
Cheers,
Martin
Great job on the Waxwing Martin, beautiful shot of the Woodie and a very nice composition too. I also like the GBH habitat shot and the first Warbler. Well done.

I see you wasted no time---good for you! A gorgeous series, Martin. My favorite has to be the woodie. It looks to be a juvenile drake just beginning to feather out. I also like the warblers.
Al
I managed to process some while there Al.
Many thanks for your generous comments.

First shore bird appears to be a Lesser Yellowlegs, the next a Spotted Sandpiper.
Your first warbler looks like a inmature Nashville Warbler and the next one a is a Black-Throated Green Warbler. First photo of the Wood Duck is excellent.

Many thanks for the IDs and your kind comments Gerard.
Delighted to get them and to know the ID of my first pics of them.

Wonderful shots Martin. I like the roosting duck as my favorite. I'm no warbler expert, but I'd say the first one is a Nashville Warbler, and the 2nd one looks like a juvi Black-throated Green Warbler. It's funny you should post those two, because I just shot the same ones in my yard over the weekend.
Thanks Gary for the IDs and comments.
Are these migratory ones then?

A very lovely set Martin, with some nice framing (I especially liked the composition of #6); but #1 is definitely #1 for me. Great job keeping those eyes nice and sharp. I really love the colors (a gorgeous blue which compliments the green BG nicely). Well done!
Dave
Thanks David.
Glad you liked the comp on # 6, it was a bit far off but so unusual I had to post it.

Martin, I'm pretty sure they are, as we don't have them in the winter that I know of.
I just saw a roosting Woodie go by that 'took the cake' That show has a neat 'energy' to the light, and the more tamed color of Mrs Woodie really seem to go very well here, quite a pleasing shot my friend
I am thinking Virginia's Warbler on the Yellow/Gray as my book shows brown on the back of the Nashville variety. I believe #5 to be Blackthroated Green
Really nice detail color and exposures Martin, you and your MKIV are doing well together.
