First...my standard intro to anyone "new to me" on this forum...
My comments or suggestions below are not a criticism of you, your model, your talent or skill. I offer them in a friendly tone of voice and with the sole intent to help you with a second POV and set of eyes. If you read sincere questions and simple suggestions as "criticism" of you, then you will miss how I am trying to help you. All smilies I post are genuine and sincere.

Of course this may be your own "style" or your own "vision" and I suppose we can assume that the images look just like they do because that is exactly how you like them. That is OK too. It just shows that there are differences of "opinion" on what looks good. IF these are exactly what you want and like, then by all means continue making your images look like that and have fun doing it. As I always say: "Follow your own muse."
_______________________

In general, I like the image. It is different from the usual shown here.

I like to see figures in action. Good use of more than one man/figure in action.

I like textures in BW. The dirt and scene (location) looks good and is a welcome change to the usual "fight club" locations shown on the net.

_________

Then I look for "reality." How real does it look? Does it create a good illusion?

________

The figures of the men look posed to me.

For example, the "ducking the punch" guy seems far too low in stance (unreal) to me.

The man with dog looks like he is watching something other than the two fighters.

That is how it appears to me.

Now notice the dog.

Notice his reaction (or "non-reaction") to the men in the scene.

_______________

I hope these comments help you.

I agree, and rather like, SH's comments.

The shot is very fun. I would have preferred a bit more blur on the background cars, which would make your actors pop a bit more. The choice to do this in B&W is good, as that gives it a great grunge effect. Since they are fighting in the dirt, I would have wanted to see more dirt on them (I notice on the ducking fighter his arm has some).

I don't think a real boxer would duck that low, and there appears to be no motion of him ducking, perhaps because he is already in position? Honestly, the best staged actor is the one swinging the punch. Ultra real looking.

So if the person on the right were to back up instead of duck, OR better yet, actually get hit - and have the dog barking towards the guys, that would make it all the more realistic, with a more blurred background perhaps.

Otherwise, I dig the shot, and really think you've got some chops here...

Maybe I am missing something, but why is the person on the far left also swinging? By using the title "fight club" you are referencing the book/ movie. I recall it always being 1v1 and not 2v1.

I like the tone of the B&W.

I am currently in my FINAL year at RMIT in which I will be completing my Photography course.

I am working on a very LARGE project and need your help!

Twelve images, twelve rounds, twelve epic locations.

The first and last rounds will be located at an actual boxing location but it's what happens in between these scenes where the magic will be happening.

Picture two professional boxers battling it out at the car yards, local pier, local pub, tram depot, aquarium etc!

Each image between 2 - 11 will portray a surreal boxing environment.

This is going to be an advertisement fashion piece SHOWCASING "Punch" boxing apparel.

Judging by the ears of your subjects, those guys look to be real fighters, no? What help do you seek? You haven't commented on the any of comments left thus far.

_______

It is good that you finally post your INTENT (Goal) for this photo.

Knowing WHERE you want to go (or letting US know) allows one to gauge how far you are OFF or ON course.
__________

The CONCEPT for your project sounds like it would lead to interesting images in a series.

IF they are as dynamic as this one, I anticipate a nice series to see.

_________

When I viewed this image, I never noticed the "Punch" brand items (shoes, gloves, trunks).

But...I did notice the PEPE hat on the man (left) and it drew my eye.

IS the PEPE hat recognized as part of the "Punch" apparel line/brand?

I hope this observation and advice helps you.

Also, I assume the oval shape on the back of the gloves is a logo for the brand. IF so, it is hard to see/recognize because of the exposure (contrast) of the image.

I hope these observations and comments help you.

There are a few things I like better about the second image.

There are more things I think are weaker than the first image.

________

By the way, the repeated "missed punch" looks redundant as it is coming from the same fighter and the opponent used the same duck.

So, I would only use ONE of these in your series (if I were the editor) and it would be the first image over this one.

On a humorous note, the fighter on the left needs to keep his eye on the opponent.
